my au plot bunny
I decided to post what I currently have done on my modern au family plot bunny. I liked spellcastergirl’s suggestion of Haytham being the uncle no one talks about so he’s there, just never around because he “has neither the time nor patience for children.” ……I probably should write a summarized backstory to explain why, now…..
Altaïr is oldest at 20
Malik is 17
Ezio is 14
Edward is 11
Connor&Aveline are 7
Desmond is youngest at 4
Altair walked out of the house with his baby brother on his shoulders. The toddler babbled happily currently fascinated with playing with Altair’s hair. Altair looked down the street. School had just gotten out so his younger brother should be on his his way home with his other brothers and sister.
Malik hadn’t been particularly happy with the idea of cramming his four younger siblings in his car but as Altair explained, he couldn’t leave Desmond alone, and his car wouldn’t fit all five. which Malik had countered with he could just go pick up the twins and Altair had made a valid point that it’d be a little ridiculous for him to pick up the twins when Malik would be there picking up Edward plus the elementary school was only a few blocks from Ezio’s middle school.
A car turned onto the street and Altair soon recognized it as Malik’s. it pulled into the driveway.
“Ezi! Ezi!” Desmond exclaimed bouncing as Ezio got out of the car and pushed the seat forward to let his younger siblings out since Malik’s car was a two-door.
Noticing Malik hadn’t shut off the car, Altair walked over to the driver’s side and asked, “Where are you going Malik?”
Malik shot his older brother a glare before answering. “We are going to the mall. There is a new book I want to pick up and-“
“I’m gonna pre-order this epic new game, ‘Legends of the Secret Order’!” Ezio said excitedly. Altair gave him a unamused look. “What? Malik said I could since he was going there anyway.”
“Don’t worry Altair, we won’t be gone long.” Malik said
“Fine, but you are helping the twins with their homework when you get back.” Altair stated then stepped away from the car.
“Ezi no play?” Desmond asked trying to lean over Altair’s head as Ezio got back in Malik’s car and then backed out.
“No, but I bet your sister would.” Altair said tipping his head to the side in an attempt to look at Desmond.
“Yay! Avie play!”
Altair saw that the boys had climbed up into the large tree in the yard and apparently weren’t allowing Aveline to join them. Altair walked over to find out what was going on.
“Come on, let me up there!” Aveline called up to her brothers.
Edward laughed then leaned down and said, “A pirate ship is no place for a lady.”
“Connor, tell him to let me up there.” She called to her twin
“I’m sorry, sis I can’t. It’s pirate rules.”
“Well, they’re stupid rules!” She pouted and sat down at the base of the tree.
Altair took Desmond off his his shoulders and kneeled down next to his little sister. “You know, just because they won’t let you join their ship, doesn’t mean you can’t make your own ship and attack them.” He smirked
“Really?”
Altair nodded. “Yep. You could be a pirate hunter. Show them their mistake for not letting you join them.”
Aveline smiled and stood up. “You hear that? I’m a pirate hunter coming to get you!” She called up to them
“Avie play?” Desmond asked feeling a little left out.
Aveline looked at her little brother, “Of course! You can help me catch them! We’ll have lots of fun.”
“Yay!” Desmond cried
Altair stood up and announced, “Alright, inside. All of you. You can continue your battle in there.”
Another plot bunny has materialized. Modern au, the assassins are siblings, altair oldest, desmond youngest.
The only problem I’m having right now is: how much of the fandom would I piss off if I made connor and aveline twins?
…or would they find it cute?
But if I didn’t make them twins, who would be older?
And should I include haytham even though he’s not an assassin?

Ha! My only male OC can feel a bit better about his name now. I just found a variant of Christen that is a boy’s name. So Christen will become Cristen. It’s uncommon, which probably explains why I didn’t find it sooner.
